The Hanger
Fullerton College's Career Closet

The career closet strives to serve Fullerton College students by providing clean and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories! Students can also find other products to help meet their basic needs such as toiletries and menstrual products. This service will help them on their journey toward finishing school and finding employment or internships. It will also help them at career fairs, networking events, and even school presentations. The less focus students have to pay to meeting these needs, the more focus they can place on pursuing their dreams and goals.

The closet operates on a point system for all students enrolled in classes. If your allotted point total is insufficient to meet your needs, please talk to us!

All items are FREE and meant for students to keep!

Make an Appointment

The Closet is currently operating with walk in hours from 8:30 am – 10 am Monday – Thursday as well as by appointment. To make a standard shopping appointment, follow the link below.

Walk-ins are first come, first serve. A maximum of 3 students at a time can shop for 15 minutes. If more time is needed, students can opt to come back during other walk-in hours or make a shopping appointment!

Standard shopping appointments are 30 minutes long with a 3 student maximum in the same appointment slot.

Due to an influx of clothing and lack of extra storage, we are not accepting clothing donations at this time unless they are hard-to-find sizes (i.e. XS or smaller and XXL or larger). However, there are many other items that we will gladly accept!

  • Accessories (including jewelry, bags, watches, hair accessories, etc.)
  • Packs of socks and underwear of various sizes
  • Unused hygiene products (including soap, hair products, menstrual products, dental care items etc.)
  • Masks

Before donating: Please ensure that all items are in good condition, freshly laundered, and/or new and unused. Also, stay tuned and check-in for when this list changes as well as when we start taking more clothes again!

To make a donation please email Jordan Lowery (they/them) at to set up a time to drop off your stuff. You can also email them if you have questions or to ask about donating something that is not on the list!

How it works, Other Services, and Questions

The closet operates on a point-system. Each student who is enrolled in at least .5 units will have 6 points associated with their student ID number at the beginning of each semester. They can earn an additional 4 points through bringing in friends and fellow students to shop for a total of 10 each semester.

Some future services to look forward to:

  • Discrete gender-affirming garment ordering (binders, compression underwear, etc.)
  • Hair cut vouchers
  • Professional LinkedIn headshot photo

The Closet strives to provide a variety of services to students from a variety of backgrounds. If there is something you need that is not provided, reach out. There may be a way we can help.
