Career Exploration
The Fullerton College Career Exploration Program in the Career Center offers a variety of ways to assist students with exploring careers and choosing a major. Depending on your needs in the exploration process, you can decide which works best for you. Listed below are the three tracks from which to choose to explore: Self-Exploration, Assisted Exploration, and Guided Career Exploration. Keep in mind, with all the factors that go into choosing educational and career pathways, we encourage students to meet with a career counselor to assist students in their major selection and career decision-making. Self-Exploration
From career assessments to occupational and educational databases, this is exploration for self-starters. Join Career Center Canvas shell for access to a variety of resources. Be sure to start with the Hornet Career Journey to organize your exploration: Research, Network, Experience! Then, connect with a counselor to kickstart your educational journey.

Assisted Exploration
The SuperStrong Journey is a three-step guide to making meaningful choices regarding your educational pathway leading to a career goal. This track offers support with career-decision making rather than just exploring on your own. You will make a college major selection and a semester Student Ed Plan will be created. These steps include:
- Interest Assessment
- Exploration Activity
- Counseling Appointment
Guided Career Exploration
With guidance from our career counseling faculty, students complete career-related assessments (e.g. Strong Interest Inventory and/or Myers Briggs Type Indicator), receive assessment interpretation, explore majors and careers, and create a Student Educational Program Plan. This can be done by doing one of the following:

In just three simple steps, the SuperStrong Journey will provide you with a guide in making meaningful choices regarding your educational pathway leading to your career goal. This is perfect for first-year students.

Career Exploration Experience
Learn more about your interests and/or personality, how these impact career choices, work environments, and what majors might be best aligned. In this Career Exploration Experience Canvas, modules have been created for students to progress through a series of steps with guidance of a career counselor to explore careers and majors through to completing a purposeful Student Education Program Plan.
