At the workshop, you will learn how to persuade an employer to invite you to an interview by targeting your resume to that particular job. Additionally, a cover letter is a great way to introduce yourself to the employer and tell them how your skills, knowledge, and abilities will benefit their company and meet their company needs. To grab the employer’s attention, you will learn how to write a basic business letter that's professional, concise, and to the point.

August 5, 2020In this webinar, participating students will learn about the Career Planning Process, take the Strong Interest Assessment, and be given helpful tools on how to make informed decisions regarding selecting a career and a major that fits them best. The webinar will be followed up with a one-on-one career counseling appointment, and then an individual appointment to create a Student Educational Program Plan. We look forward to helping you with your career and major exploration journey!

In this workshop, you will learn proper interview etiquette and how to positively impact the employer. We will teach you how to use the STAR method to answer almost any interview question. You will learn how to appropriately follow-up with the employer to get the best results. Additionally, in this workshop, you will learn how to network with employers and get the most out of your time with them. When meeting with employers, it is very important that you tell the employer how your experience and transferable skills will positively benefit their company. We will discuss how to strategize and get the most out of your time while talking to an employer.
