The
Career & Life Planning Process helps you understand all
that goes into career
development. The Career & Life Planning Process assists you with
identifying what you're good at; how your skills, values and
interests translate into work; and where to find that work.
Career Counseling
is a very important part of the career development process. From
goal setting to decision making, our career counselors can provide you
with consultation and support.
The CLP Center hosts
Career Workshops on a regular basis
designed for either the undecided or decided student usually for a
duration of one hour.
By completing this
Career Center Assignment, you will identify a career based on
your assessment results from the
Fullerton College Career
Planning System and begin to learn how to research that career. This
activity will help you focus on information such as your preferred work
activities and work environments, preparation such as training and
education, employment outlook, salary, and work values relating to a
career. After your research, you will pull together your findings to
synthesize the information.
The CLP Center also has the California Career Information System
Eureka which offers a
comprehensive database for the career explorer, including personality
and skills assessments. You must follow the

published by the Career & Life Planning Center bi-annually.
The
Vocational Biographies system is a
comprehensive online career library offering "real-life" career stories and an
endless stream of ideas for readers seeking career direction. You must

before logging onto the site. It is also offered in print copies in the
CLP Center.

Chronicle Occupational Briefs
present information on more than 2,000 occupational titles, including
650 comprehensive occupational descriptions, ranging from those that
require a high school diploma or less, through professional careers.

The Career and Life Planning Center offers an extensive
Career Library
with updated career books, journals, magazines, newspapers. If you
are undecided, need specific information about an occupation, or want
more career-related information from
Accounting to Zoology, you will find a book that is just for you!
In addition to our CLP Center Career Library,
Fullerton College's Library offers the new
FC NetLibrary
to view a variety of full text career books and others
available online. You can view the entire book right where you are
sitting!

This program was developed specifically to increase awareness of
